Reflections

Why should we follow Jesus? Because Jesus commanded us to follow Him.

Matthew 16:24 (NIV) Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”  

To be disciples of Jesus, we should follow Him. To follow after Him and His teachings, as given by God’s Word, the Bible. In fact, by its very definition, a disciple is someone who follows after a teacher and his teachings. If we are not really following, then perhaps we are not really disciples of Jesus. A point worth pausing to reflect upon.
